About the event
Annie Eastwood with Kimball and the Fugitives features the flying fingers of Kimball Conant on lead guitar and vocals and the sultry vocals of Annie Eastwood with the dynamic rhythm section of Jeff Davies on upright and electric bass and vocals, John Rockwell on drums with James Middlefield sitting in on harmonica.
Kimball Conant exhibits his stellar guitar mastery on his vintage 1962 Gretsch electric guitar in a distinctive Chet Atkins finger style and easily shifts to a deep down Johnny Winter style acoustic slide for burning blues. The Fugitives perform every genre from Freddie King shuffles, smoldering grinders and Texas 2-beat blues, to roots, jazz, Latin, swing, rock & roll and R&B tunes.
Annie Eastwood has been playing venues around the Northwest since 1996 and has opened for national blues acts such as Tommy Castro and Sonny Landreth. Annie’s vocals combine elements of blues and jazz with a unique sensitive tone she can shape to rock the house.
