Internationally acclaimed guitarist, composer and producer Chance Hayden of Portland, OR makes a long-awaited return to Sea Monster with a night of Soul Standards, classic r&b and soul tunes re-imagined and stripped down to a jazz trio aesthetic featuring Ross Garlow (bass) and Tarik Abouzied (drums). Always on the go as one of the region's most trusted string-slingers, Hayden has performed avidly since the mid-00s as a chameleon-like musician who fluidly adapts through jazz, blues, funk and soul. He continuously splits duties as both a bandleader and avid sideman for diverse acclaimed artists such as Farnell Newton, Darrell Grant, Saeeda Wright, Shelly Rudolph, Lloyd Jones, Mel Brown and Jarrod Lawson with whom he toured 15 countries.
